I’m back with updates!

This is going to be one very very loooong post.my personal organizer
So I was offline for some time because I was pretty busy with school and learning German. But I managed to past my A2 level test without any problems (and I skipped the level A1 completely 😉 )And in July we some-how decided to leave Austria so the life got again crazy. On the end of the last month we moved all our stuff to my Moms, where we are staying until beginning of October, when we will be moving back to UK. Looks like German speaking country is just not for us – at least not for now.
With all the cleanings I’m also cleaning up my computer so I want to upload all my workout calendars too. For now I was marking everything into my personal organizer which I created myself. I just bought A6 folder for myself and I printed out calendar. This way I have my own unique organizer which suites to my needs with beautiful green pages.

I was not following with hers schedule because it was nothing for me so I created my own and it was definitely fun and I will return to those workouts which I liked. Maybe I should form some kind of rating… I will make note for myself.

This was one crazy month. So we were organizing our move from Austria to Slovakia , I was finishing my German course and we were with all this stress doing crazy Insanity. And of course I only found my results from the first fit test, but I know I did better the second time.

ZCUT Cardio Series review

So what will you get?

This set of three DVDs contains 12 all-new workouts. The warm up, cool down and ab bonus are the same on all three DVDs (I think once is enough, but never mind). This set also comes with a calendar with workout routine to follow for the first month so you know exactly where/how to use the DVDs. zcut

For the second and third months, you can go to Zuzka Light’s website and download the schedule for the two following month. If you follow the rotation calendar, for the first month, you work out 5 days a week, and for the second and third months, you work out 6-7 days a week. The calendar is pre-set, but she said that you can add more cardio to the program, although you should still expect to see results even if you don’t.

More about the workouts

Exercises are all body-weight and workouts require only minimal equipment — a chair, a mat, and (optional) a box or something to jump over for some of the lateral jump moves.

The exercises consist of Zuzan’s signature moves — things like burpees, jumps tucks, etc. They are pretty high impact, but that intensity definitely helps you get results in a short period of time.

Zuzka also does a demo of the exercises before the workout starts, so you can see what’s coming and how to do it. The demos are a few minutes long and are at the start of each workout.

The main portion of each workout ranges between 10-15 minutes long. There is one warm-up and one cool-down routine (both are 7 min long) included that you do each day you work out. So if you do the warm-up, one workout, and the cool-down, each workout should take you just about 25-30 minutes total.

Also, there is no music in any of the workouts, so it might be good to have an iPod or other MP3 player handy if you like to listen to music (as I do) when I work out.

She also mentioned on her Twitter feed that you don’t need to do any additional workouts if you do these. But if you really want to see results you need to focus on your diet otherwise nothing will help you to get the body you want.

Zuzana is a beautiful person inside and out and I love that she keeps it real. She’s struggling along with you and she lets you know it.

What do I think?

I’m only on second week but so far I really enjoy the workouts. There are similar to ZWOWs, but more cardio related.

The only thing I don’t like is the warm up and one aspect of the cool down: The warm up needs a bit of cardio-prep like high knees or something to get as ready for killer cardio. So add couple of jumping jacks or something after the warm up and before the workout and you are set. As for the cool down, there’s no upper body stretching which is bit odd. The stretching is so great for the legs and lower body. So add couple of stretches for your upper body and you should be fine. 😉

And if you are complete beginner I advise that you start with her ZWOWs and  if you are managed go for it.

For the price of this set, you really cannot go wrong, and considering you can do each one multiple times before getting bored. So you are getting months’ worth of workouts for small price. I think Zuzka deserves our support after many years of free workouts what she provided for us (since 2009 when she was with bodyrock.tv). So if I have to join her Zgym or buy her DVDs for some money I will. She deserves all the success in the world for what she has done for so many people.

About Zuzana (Zuzka) Light

From those who don’t know who she is. She is co-founder of bodyrock.tv, fitness personality and personal trainer. And she is originally from Czech republic.


She started her journey back in 2009, when she and her husband started bodyrock.tv. They shared more than workout videos with their viewers -recipes, pep talks, fashion hauls, traveling. I loved bodyrock in the past, but I was not really publicly sharing my love for them, because of the way the workout videos where shot. I’m not following bodyrock anymore. I tried to stick with them but after Zuzka left it was not the same and it’s getting even worse. At the beginning when Lisa -Marie first showed up it was refreshing. She seemed nice – like speedy Gonzales :D. Again somebody who is saying you should love yourself for who you are and than you should work with what you’ve been given. And couple months later she is completely different person (boobs job, nose, big lips). She looks fake. And the angles of the videos are getting more and more like porn than actual workout videos. I know that in those days sex sells but does it have to be so obvious?! Also in Zuzka’s workouts you can see her body but its more decent. So I’m not ashamed to share my workout routines with other people.

But I’m thankful for bodyrock.tv but mainly for Zuzka because she is the main reason why I felt in love with fitness.

September – New Month, New Workouts


So we have already September. Wow the time is really running. And the kittens are one month old. :O

So I have ZCUT Cardio Series DVDs so this month I’m definitely planning to try it out and we will see how it goes. And of course I will still do my running with my hubby 3-4 times a week. I think now I’m pretty consistent  with my workouts so I have to really concentrate on my diet!!!! And I really must drink more WATER! The weather is changing its not so hot here, but I still have to drink more water than I do now! Hydration is important!
